I have been beading and looming since I was a child. I went to college in Philadelphia for Graphic Arts, Commercial Art earning a degree in Graphic Design. I now have my home and studio in Westchester County, New York. I started designing jewelry in 1996, started selling my creations through retail shows throughout New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut for several years. I am self taught and very skilled at all the basic techniques of stringing, wire working, working with precious and semi-precious stones. I taught a continuing education course through Brewster Adult Education and Putnam Arts Council on wire wrapping, basic stringing and design. 

I began this venture helping out a friend make a deadline for a retail order. By the reputation of my workmanship, other jewelry designers found me and so began Melindesign. I now work with several designers, getting them through busy seasonal market shows, wholesale and retail orders. I love the satisfaction of watching their businesses grow with my help, riding the wave of success without resorting to having to go overseas for production. We work closely together to achieve the highest quality of craftsmanship here in the United States.
